Rest assured, I'm here to tell you trying lacrosse does not have to be expensive.
I want to show you how much it will cost if you buy used lacrosse equipment, but more importantly, I want to show you how PV lacrosse is committed to helping these costs, and potentially even play your first season for free!
What Equipment Your Son Needs To Start Playing Lacrosse
To get started, your son will need some basic gear. Here's a quick rundown along with approximate costs for new equipment:
Lacrosse Stick: $30 - $100
Helmet: $35 - $100
Shoulder Pads: $20 - $70
Elbow Pads: $20 - $70
Gloves: $20 - $70
If you buy used, which it totally recommended your first year, you're looking at about $125 - $175 for all the equipment needed to play your first year.

Introducing the Prairie Village Rent and Return Program
Our whole goal is to make it as easy as possible for you to try lacrosse! That's why Prairie Village Lacrosse is excited to introduce our Rent and Return program. This initiative allows first-year players to rent essential lacrosse gear for the entire year. At the end of the season, the equipment is returned, making way for the next group of budding athletes. This program is not only cost-effective but also eases the initial financial burden for families.
It is on a first come, first served basis, but look at all the gear we've collected!
Prior to the season, we will meet at our storage shed, and have an equipment day! Then, at the end of the season, we'll meet back at the shed and return all items. It's a win-win.
